So, I found myself thinking about Pacquiao's 'loss', Tim Bradley's 'win', and some other stuff. Then I thought about Brandon Rios climbing the weight classes, slowly approaching 147lbs..
I have some question for the boxing heads.
#1. What is the highest weight class you think Brandon Rios would be effective at? I say 147lbs. Maybe he could do 154lbs, but that would be stretching it.
#2. Do you think that that Rios could beat Abril in a re-match at either 140lbs or 147lbs? Abril isn't a small guy, he's 5'11". Bonus question - do you think Abril would take the re-match if offered?
#3. How do you think Brandon Rios at 140lbs would fare against the following opponents? As near as I can tell, these are the top fighters at Light Welterweight excluding Golden Boy opponents. Because of the big red X. [Amir Khan, Lucas Matthyse, Marcos Maidana, Danny Garcia, Erik Morales].
Juan Manuel Marquez
Tim Bradley
Lamont Peterson
Mike Alvarado
Ajose Olusegun
Zab Judah
Humberto Soto
Kendall Holt
DeMarcus Corley
Feel free to add anybody else to the list at 140lbs. I was really iffy about adding anybody else to the bottom of the list. I didn't really know where Joan Guzman, Mercito Gesta, Denis Shafikov, or Ruslan Provodnikov fit into the mix at 140lbs.
