BoxNation has been promoting the hell out of this Saturday's David Haye vs Dereck Chisora fight, with some thinking that this is a fight that could make or break the channel as a viable subscriber service in the UK. Simply put, it's a fight that has to deliver, and two episodes of a series called "Beyond the Ropes," similar to HBO's "24/7" for major American fights, have done a good job hyping the bout.
Episode one covers Haye getting his license in Luxembourg (which is every bit the farcical joke you might have expected it to be if filmed), a bit from Chisora's camp with training mate and unbeaten American heavyweight prospect Joe Hanks, and the fight between Chisora and trainer Don Charles.
Episode two has more from the Haye camp, including an interesting focus on Adam Booth, and picks up the Chisora camp from the first episode.
We'll have much more on Haye vs Chisora all week, leading up to live, round-by-round coverage on Saturday afternoon of the fight card from Upton Park, live on BoxNation in the UK and Epix in the United States. We'll also have live coverage of tomorrow's press conference, which will stream on BoxNation's official site at Noon UK time, so 7 a.m. EDT in the States.
