Pacquiao Marquez Trilogy

Howdy folks. I watched the two Pacquiao Marquez fights right before the third one to get an idea of what I was in for, and it was fun. But I didn't score them. I had on my 'things to do' list to score these fights, so I took 3 hours to sit down and do so.

Join me in this adventure, won't you?

JMM-MP 1

RD1: 10-6 Pacquiao
Yeah, not much to say here. Pacquiao landed a few good jabs, Marquez was countering well, and then Pacquiao jumped all over him and easily won the round 10-9 even aside from the knockdowns with the hard shots. 3 knockdowns make it 10-6. Furthermore, Pacquiao should've been warned, deducted a point, or maybe even disqualified for the late hit as Marquez was down. Something needed to be done about that rather than ignoring it. 10-6 Pacquiao

RD2: 10-9 Pacquiao
Marquez seemed like he was on stiff legs. Pacquiao would land a few hard shots, then Marquez would return fire. Marquez's punches quite clearly don't have any rotation on them. No pop. Pacquiao going for the finish, swinging hard. Marquez wasn't out of it that round, but I score it for Pacquiao. 20-15 Pacquiao

RD3: 10-9 Marquez
Marquez turning him so Pacquiao can't just bullrush forward. Marquez picking off most of Manny's jabs with his own. BIG right hand from Marquez. Good body shot from Marquez. More good body work. Snapping Manny's head back with the jab, then going downstairs. Hilarious annoucer quote here 'He can't claw his way back. .. Can he?' referring to Marquez. A little flurry from Pacquiao at the end, but Marquez won the round. 29-25 Pacquiao.

RD4: 10-9 Marquez
Marquez starting to come forward and drive Manny's had back right at the beginning of the round. Then back to counterpunching. Marquez with a great counter-upper as Manny ducks down. Manny almost completely nullified this round. Marquez just picking off all his shots. Great body upper by Marquez. Pacquiao lands a couple of shots there at the end, but Marquez round. 38-35 Pacquiao.

RD5: 10-9 Marquez
Marquez with some good body shots. Pacquiao nailed as he tries to zing a hook in there. Getting his head snapped with jabs. Marquez blowing Pacquiao's head back with his right hand. Pacquiao comes back with a flurry but getting punished for it. Marquez with a thumping looping overhand right. Marquez rushing in with a triple jab punctuated with a right hand right in the face. Pacquiao looking better this round than in the previous two, but still a Marquez round easily. 47-45 Pacquiao

RD6: 10-9 Marquez
Marquez sticking to that really impressive body work. POW straight right to the gut. Marquez with a quadruple jab. None of it lands, but the speed is impressive. Marquez NAILS him right on the chin with a right hand. Pacquiao staggers and covers up, Marquez swarms him. That punch made me go 'oh!' when Marquez landed it. Damn, what a chin on Pacquiao. Marquez snaps his jab over Pacquiao's jab to pop him right in the eyes. Really impressive. 1-2 to the body from Marquez. Another easy Marquez round. 56-55 Pacquiao

RD7: 10-9 Marquez
Pacquiao tries to go to the body, Marquez snaps a jab up top for Pacquiao's trouble. Pacquiao just charging in recklessly, lands a couple. Marquez tries the overhand right again, partially blocked. Marquez charging forward since Pacquiao won't initiate the action. Pacquiao blocks it all. Marquez snaps another jab. Pacquiao lands a good 1-2. Marquez digging with a couple of great body uppers. Marquez with a body right straight. Marquez lands a couple of good counters right at the end. Pacquiao nails him with a left just before the bell. Marquez round, but Pacquiao is working his way back into it. Pacquiao has figured out to counter a counter-puncher - make him initiate the action. 65-65 draw

RD8: 10-9 Marquez
Pacquiao starting off this round by doing nothing, trying to bait Marquez into initiating. Marquez responds with nothing. The grapple a bit, the ref breaks them. Nobody has really landed anything halfway through the round. Marquez tries a wild hook, Pacquiao blocks it. Marquez backs him off with a jab. Now it's a jab battle. Marquez with a 1-2 to the body. Marquez misses with an uppercut. Marquez with a body uppercut. Pacquiao with a couple of pitty pat shots on the fave. Marquez responds with a couple of hard right hands. Pacquiao's hand ALMOST touches the canvas. A few inches away it seems like. Pacquiao staggered, and Marquez tries to close in. Pacquiao lands a hard shot, Marquez backs off again. Nobody did much that round, but Marquez definitely staggered him and almost got a 'glove touch canvas' down. Marquez takes the lead. 75-74 Marquez

RD9: 10-9 Marquez
Marquez comes out punching, all blocked, since Pacquiao won't initiate. Marquez digs in with a couple of body shots when Pacquiao clinches. Marquez flings a hook that Pacquiao blocks. Pacquiao lands a jab, ref has to split them again as they get tangled. Marquez drives him back with blocked shots. Marquez slaps a hook to the body. Marquez with another slapping body hook as Pacquiao does nothing. Marquez flurries in the last 30 seconds to try and win the round on activity, and he does - since neither man did a whole lot. Marquez threw more and landed more. 85-83 Marquez

RD10: 10-9 Pacquiao
Battle of jabs at the beginning. Nobody really lands much. Marquez drives him back with some blocked flurries. Pacquiao charges back, but Marquez dodges it. Pacquiao lands a couple. Pacquiao ties up. Marquez flurries at the end, lands one or two. Pacquiao round, he landed the only real clean punches. 94-93 Marquez

RD11: 10-9 Marquez
Marquez throws some jabs out, that don't land, as Manny does nothing. Pacquiao rushes in with a flurry, Marquez jabs him in the face. Marquez nails him twice in a row with two hard right straights. All Pacquiao comes back with is swinging at air. Marquez wings in with a wild hook, clips him just barely with it.. then Marquez rushes in with a hard uppercut. Nails Pacquiao with several jabs, and another uppercut. More jabs. Another right hand. Pacquiao has nothing. Pacquiao looks exhausted. Pacquiao covering up. Pacquiao swaying, swaying, not throwing. Marquez lands another jab. Marquez nails him with a couple more right hands. Easy Marquez round. 104-102 Marquez

RD12: 10-9 Pacquiao
Marquez nails him with a right hand. Marquez charges in, misses most of them. Pacquiao taps him with one. Pacquiao lands a couple of jabs. Pacquaio lands a right hand that looks a bit short. Doesn't have much power behind it. Pacquiao with a flurry, lands nothing. Marquez tries to counter-jab, Pacquiao nails him with a left hand. Marquez sticks a jab in his face. Pacquiao sets up a 1-2 nicely. Marquez jabbing. Pacquiao with a nice short hook. Marquez throws a combination, most of it misses. Another Marquez counter-jab. Pacquiao round. 113-112 Marquez

I have Marquez winning by one point. I don't really see any 'swing' rounds I could give to one guy or the other. So, I have it for Marquez by close decision. And of course, the official decision being a draw. I have no problem with a draw - it wasn't a robbery, just a close fight.

Note - during the fight, they mention that Manny has had trouble in the gym sparring with a boxer named 'Bernard Dunne, look out for him.' Indeed.

JMM-MP 2

RD1: 10-9 Pacquiao
Pacquiao lands the first shot of the night with a body jab. Pacquiao lands a couple of shots clipping Marquez on the chin. Marquez hasn't landed doodle. Pacquiao hasn't landed much yet. Pacquiao with a good hook. Marquez with a good straight right. Pac lands a good jab with a nice combination. Marquez with a good body shot. They trade body shots. Marquez seemed tentative, confused, or both. Pacquiao round. He threw a little more, landed a little more, and seemed a lot more comfortable in there. 10-9 Pacquiao

RD2: 10-9 Marquez
Pacquiao drives him back with a combination, that misses. They're trading missed combinations. Pacquiao picks off a Marquez body shot, which seems pretty damned impressive to me. They're both swinging and both missing everything. Pacquiao flurries and clips him with a couple of things. They grapple, ref splits them. Both guys are turning this into a 'most punches thrown and not connected' festival. Oh, and now Pacquiao does a body-head combination that looks nice. Both land. Marquez lands a little something in the last 10 seconds. And another hard shot that makes Pacquiao look like a puppet with his strings cut. I was going to give it to Pacquiao, but those two huge shots in the final seconds definitely won the round for Marquez. 19-19 draw

RD3: 10-8 Pacquiao
A lot of shifting, missing, and blocking from these guys. Marquez sticks a jab in his face. Pacquiao's head knocked back by a huge Marquez right hand. Really hating these 10 second stanzas of 'nobody throws.' Manny lands a jab. Marquez - OH SHIT. Pacquaio downs him hard. That definitely win's Pacquiao the round which could've gone either way up until that point. Manny almost downs Marquez again. Jeez louise. Just when they were putting me to sleep. 29-27 Pacquiao

RD4: 10-9 Pacquiao

Marquez wih a good body shot, then a jab. Manny does a jab. Marquez counters with a right hand. Pacquiao with a left hand on the jaw. Pacquiao with a jab, Marquez with an explosive right. Pacquiao with a good shot. Marquez flurries and misses. The few punches that Manny landed that weren't jabs, looked nice but didn't do much to Marquez. I give the round for Marquez, but this one was close. 48-46 Pacquiao

RD6: 10-9 Marquez
Jab contest. Marquez lands a right hand. Marquez lands a body jab. Marquez with another right hand. Pacquiao lands a slight, soft hook in a flurry of 3-4 punches. Marquez batting away or slipping most of Manny's punches as they come in. Manny with a small right hand. Marquez returns with a body shot. They trade shots upstairs. Marquez is betters. Marquez lands 3-4 punches to the face, hard, unanswered. Manny with a jab. Marquez with a hook that swings too wide. Marquez with a right hand. Marquez lands with the hook-right hand combo this time. Pacquiao tapes him in the face with an uppercut as he ducks. Marquez likes this 2-3 combo. Pacquiao hits hit hard in the face. Marquez with a body shot. Marquez with the 3-2 again. And again. And again. Lands the 3, then the 2, then the 2. Dominant Marquez round. 57-56 Pacquiao

RD7: 10-9 Pacquiao
Marquez jabs to the body. Marquez with a hard jab to the face. Lands a soft right hand to the jaw. Manny with a hard jab. Marquez with a body jab. Marquez with another hard jab, Marquez gives him a 1-2 up top for his trouble. JMM with a sloppy body hook that doesn't really land clean. Marquez with a head jab. Manny with a clipping left hand. Marquez lands a jab and comes back with a combination. Manny lands a hard 1-2. And another. Marquez tries to flurry back but misses most of it. Marquez misses with a big 1-2. A flurry that was all blocked. Pacquiao with a flurry that is all blocked. Marquez with a hard jab. Pacquiao with a flurry at the bell - I think he landed a jab in there. I give the round to Pacquiao. Aside from constantly trading jabs, the only real meaningful punch was the hard 1-2 landed by Pacquiao. There was a cut caused by accidental headbutt to the side of Marquez face, but he's fine. It's in an insignificant location. 67-65 Pacquiao

RD8: 10-9 Marquez
Marquez with a hard right hand. Manny tries to return fire but Marquez picks him off. Marquez with a hard body left hook. Marquez does a body 3 and a 2 up stairs, both partially blocked. That cut on Manny looks pretty bad. Marquez trrying to flurry but Manny blocking most of it. Marquez with a hard jab right in the face. The cut seems to have pacified Pacquiao. Oh, damn. Hard one two from Marquez blows Pacquiao's head back. Pacquiao with a bod right, hook upstairs, another hook upstairs, then a jab downstairs. That was a good, frankly amazing combination, but won't win him the round. Amazing last 30 seconds for Pacquiao, however. 76-75 Pacquiao

RD9: 10-9 Marquez
Not even a jabbing contest in the first 45s of this round. More like a feinting contest. They finally both close in both all dodged or blocked. Pacquiao taps him with something meaningless. OH, Pacquiao nails him with a hard jab. Marquez with a body jab. Marquez with a hard 2 to the face. And a hard jab. Body jab from Marquez. BAM, hard left hand from Pacquiao. Slapping body hook from Marquez. Pacquiao with a hard body upper, then a hard shot to the face. Ref halts it with 23 seconds left to have the doctor look at Marquez cut? His cut is fine, and the doc tells him so. Oh, I see. He has a second cut OVER the eyelid. Gross. Looks bad. Marquez with a hard upper right on the chin. They flurry at the end, most of it misses/blocked. I've got this an even round. I had them both landing about the same number of meaningful shots this round. I need to watch it again. On a second walkthrough, I see that Marquez landed a couple of shots in that final trade-of-flurries. As far as 'effective aggression,' both guys were about equally ineffective. As far as 'ring generalship,' Pacquiao's plan is to charge in there and bomb. Marquez is to turn him and potshot, which he did. So points to Marquez for ring generalship. Finally, 'defense'.. Pacquiao blocked a few shots well, but Marquez was consistently picking off Pacquiao's shots with his left hand. So, points to Marquez for defense. So, Marquez round. 85-85 draw

RD10: 10-9 Pacquiao
Pacquiao lands a hard shot up top, then another and Marquez staggers into the ropes! Manny is all over him! The crowd roars! He lands a 1-2. A hook. Pacquiao swarming! Marquez turning him and trying to get away! OK, back to normal. Pacquiao lands a 2. Marquez sticks a jab. Marquez unable to land. Manny with a huge left hand! And another! Marquez with a body shot, then one that strays low. Pacquiao with another hard left hand. Marquez trying to come back but Manny covering up. Manny taps him ith a 2. Marquez wit ha body shot. Marquez with a tappy-2 upstairs. Marquez lands a 2 just outside the gloves. Manny sticks a jab. Manny lands a 1-2 just before the bell. Easy Manny round. Oh god Marquez cut looks so disgusting in-between rounds. D: Blurfff 95-94 Pacquiao

RD11: 10-9 Marquez
Marquez jabbing, Manny blocking. Manny jabbing. Marquez picking him off. No action almost a full minute in. Nobody has landed doodle. Marquez lands on the belt line, ref gets pissed. Brief halt to the inaction. Nobody landing. Everything blocked or dodged. Manny taps him with a soft left hand. Marquez nails him with a hard right hand. And another hard right hand! Manny lands a hard shot. Marquez with two body shots. Marquez with another body shot. Marquez sticks a jab. Marquez lands a looping right hand. Manny lands a straight left hand, slightly on the forehead. Marquez with a body jab. Marquez with a hard right hand upstairs. Manny sticks a jab. Marquez round. 104-104 draw

RD12: 10-9 Marquez
Compubox between rounds shows Manny throwing more but Marquez landing more. Sounds about right. It's come down to the championship round. WHO WILL SURVIVE?! Pacquiao with a hard jab. Marquez with a hard right hand. Marquez with a body shot. And another. And another. Marquez with double uppercuts to the chin. Marquez with a hard hook and an uppercut. Manny hasn't landed anything yet. Oh, there's Manny with a jab. Marquez with a HUGE overhand right! And a huge uppercut! Wow! Marquez with another huge right hand! Wow, Manny did nothing that round. 114-113 Marquez.

Another Marquez victory. I would be fine with a draw, since the 9th round was hard to score. I guess if you gave round 5 to Pacquiao too, I could see a one-point Pacquiao victory. Not a robbery, but once again, I feel like Marquez won.

JMM-MP3

RD1: 10-9 Marquez
Nobody lands anything in the first minute. Pacquiao lands a hook while Marquez is off-balance. Lampley babbling about a left hand that didn't happen. Marquez sticks a jab, then does a great 3-punch combo to the body. Manny with a jab. Manny sorta clips him on the top of the head. Marquez with a jab and two body shots. Easy Marquez round. Connects were in single digits, and Marquez landed twice as much and most of Manny's were jabs. Lampley babbles about how Pacquiao clearly won the round with straight left hands that didn't happen. He also says that Pacquiao landed 11 punches in round 1 by Compubox. Well, that's horseshit. 10-9 Marquez

RD2: 10-9 Pacquiao
Manny jabs. Nobody punches. Manny jabs again. Marquez barely misses a striaght right. Manny with a jab and a left. Manny with a jab. Marquez with a 1-2. Manny with a body jab. Head jab. Marquez with a blocked 1-2. Manny with another jab. Marquez with a good left uppercut. Marquez with a body shot. Manny with another jab. Manny tries to get a straight left to the body, and Marquez nails him in the face. Marquez with a jab. They trade jabs. Manny with another jab. Marquez flurries and misses. Marquez with a long left hook. And a jab. Close round. Let me watch it again. On a second go-through, Manny was a lot more accurate. In the previous fights, Marquez seemed to be trying to turn Pacquiao, but in this fight, Pacquiao seems to accept that he is going to be turned, and seems to be circling Marquez rather than being lead around the ring. Also, Manny was blocking really well, and his head movement was bang on. Marquez seemed kind of lost this round. Definitely give the round to Pacquiao. I find it funny that says that Marquez is 'the same size or maybe smaller than Manny, and they are the same skill level.' Hahahaha no. Marquez crouches but he is definitely a full 1-2 inches taller. I would argue that for this fight, Marquez was also physically bigger [in frame and physique]. And Marquez is infinitely more skilled. Manny is just more naturally talented. 19-19 draw

RD3: 10-9 Marquez
Pacquiao throwing, not landing. Marquez dipping and ducking and slipping and sliding. Marquez with a hard double left uppercut to the jaw as he turns Pacquiao. Lampley calls a mysterious 'left hand over the top for Pacquiao' that he didn't even throw. Manny jabs, Marquez blocks. Manny jabs and hits. Marquez picks off Manny's jab. Marquez backs away to avoid the jab. Marquez jabs back, blocked. Manny with a body shot. Battle of the ineffective jabs. Marquez with a body shot. Marquez with a hard right hand. Manny with a jab. Max wisely observes that Pacquiao has muted his own offense. Marquez with a 1-2-1 with the final jab landing hard. Marquez with a body jab. Marquez with a blocked flurry. Marquez with a body shot. Manny with a left hand. Manny with a jab that Lampley calls a 'hard right hook.' They trade at the bell. Manny landed pretty much nothing but jabs this round, easy Marquez round. 29-28 Marquez

RD4: 10-9 Marquez
Marquez with a hard left hook. Pacquiao with a hard left hand. Marquez comes back with an ineffective flurry. Pacquiao with two jabs. Three jabs. Pacquiao kinda mauls him on top of the head, that's not a punch. It was because Marquez was ducking. They trade body jabs. Marquez with a right hand. Manny lands a jab then misses 3 more punches. Lampley says 'Pacquiao with a right and a left upstairs, and another left.' Uh, only one of those hit, and it was the jab. Marquez with a body shot. Marquez with a great face hook followed by a body upper. Pacquiao with a tappy straight left to the chin. Marquez with a good body hook. Marquez with a jab. Another jab. Manny with a jab. Marquez with a hook to the head, then a body upper, and then a hard straight right by Marquez. Manny mainly landed jabs. Marquez mainly landed better punches. Marquez round, fairly decisively. 39-37 Marquez

RD5: 10-9 Marquez
Manny with a reaching body jab. Marquez with a body hook. Man. Two landed punches in the first minute of this round. Lampley says 'this fight is taking place at a slower pace than their last fight.' Yeah, no kidding. Marquez with a body jab. Marquez with a right hand. Marquez with a jab. Pacquiao misses with a flurry. Marquez with a weird jab/left uppercut kinda deal. Manny finally lands a jab. Marquez lands that jabbercut again, with a hard right hand. Marquez sticks a jab. Is Manny just taking this round off? Manny with a jab. Marquez with a hook. Marquez with a hook nd a hard right hand. Manny blown back. Manny with a jab. Manny with a hard left hand. Marquez with a hard right hand. Easy round for Marquez, Max says 'Most dominant round of the fight, authored by Marquez.' Yep. 49-46 Marquez

RD6: 10-9 Marquez
Nobody lands for 40 seconds. Marquez with a jab. Marquez with a body jab. Manny with a hard left. Marquez body shot. Manny with a hard left. Marquez with double bodyshots. Manny with a body shot and Marquez just BAM knocks Manny's head back with a hard headshot. Manny lands a good jab. Marquez with two hard shots to the bean. Manny with a 1-2-1, both the jabs land. Manny with another jab. Marquez with two body shots right before the bell. Manny didn't really land anything but jabs. Another Marquez round. 59-55 Marquez

RD7: 10-9 Marquez
Manny with a jab or two. Marquez NAILS him with a looping right hand. Manny comes forward with a flurry of like 6 punches, lands zero. Manny with a jab. Marquez with a body shot. Marquez with a jab. Marquez with a hard counter jab. Marquez with a body shot. Pacquiao with a hard jab. Marquez with a brutal body shot. Marquez with a hard jab, and then hard right hand. Manny with a leaping jab. Manny with a one-two. Marquez with a hard right uppercut, then a hard one-two. Except for that one-two at the end, Manny landed nothing but jabs. Another Marquez round. At this point. 69-64 Marquez

NOTE: At this point, I realize Manny needs a knockout or a succession of knockdowns to win. Thanks to the benefits of hindsight, I know he doesn't. But, he'd have to win every single round from here-on-out to make this 'close.' They show a meaningless highlight of Manny jabbing and stepping to the side during the round. Way to underscore that your man is 100% losing this fight, HBO. I don't get it - the first two times they fought, I pretty much agreed with everything they said. This third fight, they're just crazy way-off. Also, this fight doesn't suck as much as I thought the first time I saw it.

RD8: 10-9 Marquez
Nobody lands for the first 45 seconds. Becoming a pattern. Manny lands a jab at last. Marquez with a jab. Marquez with a body shot. Manny with a body shot. They tie up, ref splits them. Marquez with a hard right hand. Marquez with a body shot. Marquez with a body jab. Marquez with a jab. Another jab for JMM. Manny lands a couple of shots in a flurry. Marquez with a long left uppercut to the chin. Marquez with a jab. Marquez with ah ard right hand. Manny with a one-two right at the bell. Man, Pacquiao did NOTHING that round. Marquez round. 79-73 Marquez

RD9: 10-9 Pacquiao
Let's see how long it takes somebody to land. Anoher 45 second pause. *Geese Howard voice* "PREDICTABLE!!". Marquez cracks him in the back of the head. Pacquiao complains to the ref, Marquez jumps all over him with a 5 punch combo, all miss. Pacquiao with a jab. Marquez with a body shot. Marquez turns and picks off a Manny jab, looks pretty cool. Marquez lands what I think is a body hook in a flurry. Pacquiao gets a head hook in as JMM ducks at him. Pacquiao with a hard left hand. Manny with a body hook. Manny with a huge 10 punch flurry where like 3-4 land. Marquez flurries back but misses most everything. Marquez with a body uppercut, and a chin uppercut. Manny with a straight left down the middle. Marquez with a left uppercut to the chin. Manny with a jab. Manny chasing and swinging. Marquez with a body shot. I liked Pacquiao in that round. Marquez seemed highly inaccurate for himself in that round. 88-83 Marquez

RD10: 10-9 Pacquiao
Marquez with a body shot. Hey, they're starting off this round! Wait no, more feinting and nobody throwing. Listening to Lederman's explanation of his score is ridiculous. Marquez with a HARD right hand. Marquez shoved down. They trade flurries. Marquez lands double right hands! There's a accidental headclash. They're fine. Manny appears to have a small cut. Manny with a tappy left hand. Another one of those. He's not putting any pepper on that. Manny with a jab. Another tappy left hand. Manny with a hook as Marquez turns to look at.. something. Marquez tries a body shot and Manny hooks him in the face. Marquez lands a jab as they trade ineffective flurries. Man, I'm not sure what happened there. I guess Marquez thought those hard right hands early in the round were enough for him to take the rest of the round off? He just didn't land anything after that. Pacquiao round. 97-93 Marquez

RD11: 10-9 Marquez
Another 45 seconds of nobody landing. They trade jabs. Manny goes downstairs. Manny flurries and lands a few. Marquez with a jab. Another jab. Marquez with a right hand as he turns Manny. Another right hand. Manny with a hard jab. Nobody lands for a long period. Marquez with a hard right hand. Manny with a jab. Marquez with a jab. Manny with a leaping jab. Marquez with a hard right hand. Manny didn't do much besides jab. Marquez round. 107-102 Marquez

RD12: 10-9 Pacquiao
Max says something to the effect of 'Marquez corner thinks he is winning, the crowd thinks he is winning, and Manny's corner just said he needs to go lay him out.' Yeah, that's about right. Absolutely no way Marquez could lose this except by knockout now [lol!]. Lederman's card is ridonkulous. He's usually dead-on.
They trade flurries and nobody lands. It's been more than a minute and nobody has landed. Manny finally sticks a jab after 75 seconds. They trade jabs. Pacquiao with a jab. POWER-BOM- oh wait, ref breaks it up. Nobody lands. Marquez with a hard right hand. Marquez with a blocked flurry. Manny sneaks a hook in there. Manny with a couple of shots. Marquez lands something right before the bell. Marquez didn't do crap - Pacquiao round. 116-112 Marquez

Yeah, so I have Marquez winning by 8 rounds to Pacquiao's 4 rounds.. I'd have to find two rounds to give to Pacquiao just to make it a draw, and they aren't there. The fact that Manny won this fight was a pure robbery. The first two fights were close. This one wasn't.

--------------------------------------------

So yeah. I think Marquez won all three fights. I didn't have a problem with the first fight being a draw. It was close. I could see a one-point Pacquiao victory in the second one. The third fight was a flat out robbery.

I think if they fight a 4th time, Marquez will win again..... with a high likelihood of getting robbed on the cards, again. Pacquiao doesn't have the speed or power to KO or KD Marquez anymore. Marquez has never been able to down Pacquiao. I think in their 4th fight, Pacquiao will be slower and take even less risks, while Marquez will be just as accurate. I also think Marquez doesn't repeat his mistake of taking the last 4 rounds off again - and firmly wins an 11-1 decision. And he might get robbed again.
