The semifinal round of boxing is over in London, and the super heavyweights finished it up this afternoon in London. All gold medal matches are now set.
Roberto Cammarelle (Italy) def. Magomedrasul Medzhidov (Azerbaijan), 13-12: It wasn't looking great after one for Cammarelle, the defending gold medalist from Beijing, as Medzhidov led 6-4. Cammarelle, like light flyweight Zou Shiming, has clearly lost a step, but still good enough to scrape out wins. He gutted this one out in a big way and deserved the tight victory, I believe.
Anthony Joshua (Great Britain) def. Ivan Dychko (Kazakhstan), 13-11: The two split the first round, 4-4, and the second was exactly the same. In the third, Joshua busted up Dychko's nose with his jabs, and won the fight down the stretch. Joshua has had a really tough draw, and he's going for gold on Sunday.
