The Rau'Shee Warren Story: "Boxing saved my life."

"Fighting. Shooting. Rivalries. Police surrounding houses, kicking down doors. Pretty much stuff you might see on movies. I was living in an area like that. Stuff went down there every week or every other week. Boxing saved my life. I was doing a whole lot as far as with me and my friends. The friends I been coming up with - they're either dead or in jail. I was riding through downtown and somebody mistake that - it was somebody in our car that they thought that whoever they shooting at. And they started shooting at the car! And like.. I was in the back seat. It hit the car four times. I'm like 'A bullet hit the seat!' And I felt it hit under the seat. And I'm like 'The bullet hit the seat!' And they like drove out. Like we still ain't never really tell nobody about it because there's a lot of people that like us and some that is against us. Just the fact that they just got that in their heart - that hate in their heart. I don't know why. Because what we're doing is positive."
