This Saturday night from the sold-out Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr will face Sergio Martinez on HBO pay-per-view, in what is the biggest and most important fight of his career.

Unlike the Martinez post where I said the same thing but the names went the other way, this is not a debate for Julio. Not only is Martinez the most notable opponent of his career, but he's by far the best, too.

Back in June, Chavez Jr went to El Paso to face Andy Lee, and did have his best performance to date. It was that fight, and the way he won, that put in motion the plans for Chavez Jr vs Martinez on September 15. In fact, within minutes of that fight ending, Top Rank got to work promoting Saturday's fight. Now we're just two days away.
