My own countryman Kiko Martínez beat Jeffrey Mathebula by stoppage on the 9th to retain his IBF belt. I know it wasn't a big fight and it has not been covered by almost any media. It was so small in fact that it took place in Spain and it wasn't shown on TV even here.
Anyway, given the sad state of boxing in my country, I'm very happy for such a hard worker like Kiko. I wish he could land some big fight, I don't know about the state of belts or promotional issues down there, but maybe Kiko would be a good fight for Donaire. He's aggressive, a pressure fighter, the kind of fighters Donaire does good against so I wish he can land a fight agains him in the U.S. for good money.
Kiko does not have much chances left and he would get schooled by Rigo for next to no money.
Bring Donaire on, I say. He would be favourite but it's the best fight he can get, in my opinion.
