Marco Huck is offering a second shot at his cruiserweight world title to compatriot Firat Arslan on January 25.
Huck first won his strap in 2009 and has gone on to defend it nine times, recording five ko victories as champion. The German contested a heavyweight world title in the midst of his cruiserweight reign, in 2012, losing on a mixed decision to Alexander Povetkin.
Arslan is previous world champion, for a short reign in 2007 and 2008, but after losing consecutive bouts he won by three by ko, got a draw in a European title fight and lost to Marco Huck by decision in 2012. In Arslan's most recent fight he won by unanimous decision over 10 rounds.
Huck won on all three scorecards against Arslan but he was far from dominant, and never looked like winning by ko. Huck hasn't won by ko in four fights and, although he should beat Arslan again, a repeat of a judges decision result is likely.
