Team Sturm

Felix Sturm faces Sam Soliman today in Dusseldorf, with a shot at IBF middleweight champ Daniel Geale on the line.

Felix Sturm faces Sam Soliman today in Dusseldorf, Germany, with a shot at the IBF middleweight title held by Daniel Geale on the line in the main event. BoxNation starts with coverage at 2 pm EST, while SAT1 in Germany has the main event only starting at about 5 pm EST.

Sturm (37-3-2, 16 KO) is coming off of a loss to Geale in September, and trying to jump right back into the title race. The 34-year-old has had a string of good fights recently against Matthew Macklin, Martin Murray, Sebastian Zbik, and Geale, providing pretty solid entertainment, even in defeat, or in fights where many thought he should have lost.

Soliman (42-11, 17 KO) is a 39-year-old Aussie scrapper who is making a real final charge at winning the world title that has eluded him in his 15-year pro career. He's the underdog, but should be expected to give a genuine effort and come to win this fight.

The undercard is pretty typical fare, with Susi Kentikian (29-2, 16 KO) looking to bounce back from a loss in the featured prelim bout.

BLH will have live coverage of the Sturm-Soliman fight this afternoon, so join us!
