A fight between Luis Carlos Abregu and Antonin Decarie is being discussed for the Martinez-Murray undercard in Argentina on April 27.

An interesting welterweight clash between Luis Carlos Abregu and Antonin Decarie is being discussed for the Sergio Martinez-Martin Murray undercard on April 27, with promoter Sampson Lewkowicz working on the bout, and Abregu's team saying they're definitely interested.

From BoxingScene.com:

"There will be seven fights on the show. I want to put together the best undercard possible for a very historical event in Argentina. Abregu vs. Decarie is one of the fights I would like to do. There has been some discussion, but it's not even close to being made," Lewkowicz told BoxingScene.com.

Abregu (34-1, 28 KO) and Decarie (27-1, 8 KO) both scored good wins on HBO Boxing After Dark broadcasts late last year, knocking off prospects. Abregu stopped Thomas Dulorme in seven rounds, while Decarie put away Alex Perez in just six. Both fighters are second-level sort of contenders at 147 pounds, and a fight between them could lead to something bigger for the winner by the end of 2013, if the fight were to come off.

Do you like this matchup? Who would you favor to win?
