Boxing: A Cultural History

I just started reading Kasia Boddy's book "Boxing: A Cultural History." So far, to me, the most interesting parts discuss the history of boxing, unrelated to cultural aspects (though often the two seem hard to separate). Specifically, her discussion of boxing in Ancient Greece and 19th century England is fascinating and far too brief.

Which has me thinking- does anyone know of a book that simply covers the history of boxing? There are books on the greatest fighters, books on bare knuckle fighting, illustrated histories, etc., but I can't find anything that could be considered a definitive document that chronicles the sport since it's inception.
