Tonight at 9 pm EST on Showtime and BoxNation in the United Kingdom, Cornelius "K9" Bundrage will meet Ishe Smith in the main event from Detroit, hoping to defend both his home turf and IBF junior middleweight title.
Bundrage (32-4, 19 KO) has won four straight, while Smith (24-5, 11 KO) is on a three-fight win streak. Both hope to see their careers get more active and profitable, as last year, Bundrage signed with Golden Boy and Smith was added to Floyd Mayweather's "money team" at Mayweather Promotions. Smith is also looking to become the first-ever boxing world titleholder born in Las Vegas.
In the co-feature, Detroit prospect J'Leon Love (14-0, 8 KO), another Mayweather fighter, looks to keep winning against late replacement opponent Derrick Findley (20-8, 13 KO). Both fights had some sparks at the weigh-in, and the main event in particular has featured a ton of trash talk, so maybe we'll get some emotion, or maybe it'll just be boxing matches like normal.
Also featured on the broadcast tonight will be new Showtime fighter Floyd Mayweather himself, who will renew his old friendly rivalry with Brian Kenny. Or maybe they'll just shoot the breeze.
