Devon Alexander has injured his bicep in training, once again postponing his IBF welterweight title defense against Kell Brook. The bout was scheduled for February 23.

Devon Alexander has suffered a bicep injury in training camp, and his scheduled February 23 fight against Kell Brook has been postponed for a second time. The fight was due to be a Showtime main event from Detroit. The bout was originally scheduled for January 19, but pushed back a month due to a Brook injury.

Alexander (24-1, 13 KO) is making his first title defense against Brook (29-0, 19 KO), whenever the fight does happen, and Brook's promoter Eddie Hearn says that they'll work on a new date and venue as soon as possible.

It's not yet known if the entire card will be postponed, or if Showtime, Golden Boy, and Mayweather Promotions will move forward with a broadcast to be headlined by Cornelius Bundrage vs Ishe Smith. Bundrage, the IBF junior middleweight titlist, was being counted on to bring in a good chunk of the fans anyway, being the home fighter in the Motor City.
