I doubt there will be a front-page post about this, so I thought I'd put this one here.
Former rugby player Sonny Bill Williams takes on former marginally relevant heavyweight Franz Botha in Brisbane, Australia.
I'll try to do a round by round which is worthy of the name. A few points to make word counts acceptable:
Philip Holiday has said that Botha wins this fight "99 times out of 100".
The pundits at the venue have said that Botha has lost 10kg (22lbs) before this fight, and there are rumours that Williams hasn't been training properly.
Bookmakers have Williams 8/11 favourite, with Botha even money. Personally I think they might have that line slightly wrong, but I suppose Botha's age and his recent record of 4 losses in 5 fights counts against him. He did go the distance with Pianeta his last time out, and if he's trained harder for this one he should put an end to the run of the novice, and crude, Williams.
I don't expect this one to go the distance, anyway....
