I am creating a system to rank boxing judges. Starting tonight with Friday Night Fights I would appreciate it if in the comments you could enter in your round by round and finally tally scorecards for the bouts. I will then take all the scorecards given and comprise a composite scorecard to judge the boxing judges.

Every boxing judge will be given a score of 100. They will receive deductions for incorrectly scoring rounds, giving to the wrong participant, not recording a foul point deduction or knockdown that the referee has indicated, and the variance of a judge's scorecard to the composite score card. I will post the results of tonight in a trial run on another fanpost.

That being said here is the ranking criteria:

Judge does not commit and infraction receives a perfect score 100

90-100 A the judge who receives the score can be considered to be competent to officiate main events for showtime or HBO championship boxing and Pay per Views

80-90 B The judge who receives this score can be considered to be competent to officiate programming like friday night fights, shobox, or boxing after dark.

70-80C THe judge who receives this score can be considered to competent enough to officiate club shows or amateur events.

It must be stated that a judge given an average of 97 for all his fights is not necessarily better than someone who receives a 95 average because of the difficulty of fights they judge along with the subjective nature of judging. The interval grouping is done so that promoters and athletic commission officials can be sure they are hiring competent judges.

the deductions are as follows:

5pt. deduction if judge does not record the foul infraction or knockdown indicated by referee.

2pt. deduction for each round given to the wrong participant based on composite scorecard

1pt. deduction for each round not scored correctly (10-9 instead of 10-8) based on the composite scorecard

8pt. deduction for awarding the fight to the wrong participant based on the composite scorecard.

5pt. deduction for improperly adding up scorecard and turning it in to athletic officials.

1pt. deduction for each difference in final tally from composite scorecard.

I would also appreciate any comments on the changes needed to be made for the criteria listed above. Any help would be greatly appreciated and reduce the likelihood we have incompetent judges scoring fights.
