Weigh-in events seem to be getting more and more nervous all the time, with fighters too often missing weight and putting bouts either in danger or hurting their relevance once the bell rings. But Gennady Golovkin and Matthew Macklin are good to go for tomorrow night's HBO main event, both weighing in at 159 pounds for their WBA middleweight title fight.
Golovkin (26-0, 23 KO) will be defending the belt in what is, on paper at least, by far the toughest test of his career. Macklin (29-4, 20 KO) is looking to make the third time a charm in title challenges.
Thomas Oosthuizen (21-0-1, 13 KO) weighed in at 167 pounds to face Brandon Gonzales (17-0, 10 KO) in a super middleweight bout. Gonzales weighed in at 166. Also featured on HBO will be a junior middleweight fight between Willie Nelson and Luciano Cuello. Nelson (20-1-1, 12 KO)
