Floyd Mayweather and Canelo Alvarez continue their 11-city press tour today in Mexico City, where a massive crowd and a big-time atmosphere is expected for the latest stop to promote their September 14 megafight.
The press conference begins at Noon EDT.
Thus far in cities like New York, Chicago, Washington, and even Floyd's hometown of Grand Rapids, Mich., Alvarez fans have turned out in strong numbers and made for some competition between the fan bases, giving the early indication that this fight isn't just big, but special. Fans on both sides are truly invested in this matchup, it appears, and there are still two and a half months left to keep promoting this event.
Today's stream is presented via Televisa, so it will be in Spanish, although Mayweather will be speaking English, and we've already heard what's going to be said anyway -- today is about seeing Mexico welcome Alvarez home and wish him well as he embarks on this enormous challenge, and just seeing the turnout and the vibe for the biggest fight of 2013.
