Tonight at 9:00 pm EDT, Monday Night Boxing is back on FOX Sports 1, with welterweight prospect Sadam "World Kid" Ali headlining in his first fight under the Golden Boy banner, facing Jay Krupp in Brooklyn.
Ali (16-0, 10 KO) previously worked with Main Events before breaking off and promoting himself, and has said he's looking forward to working with his new power promoter. Ali has a solid and growing Brooklyn fanbase already, and with GBP getting a foothold in the city with routine boxing cards, it should be a beneficial relationship for both.
Krupp (17-5, 8 KO) doesn't figure to be any real challenge. The 30-year-old is originally from New Orleans and fights now out of Catskill, NY. He's won three straight, but he's just a club fighter.
Also on the card, junior welterweight prospect Michael Perez (18-1-2, 10 KO) looks to continue his comeback run against Miguel Zuniga (12-2, 7 KO). Perez, 23, was worn out and stopped by Omar Figueroa in January 2012 on ShoBox, but has gone 3-0-1 since, with the drawing a technical decision on a prematurely stopped fight against Lonnie Smith his last time out.
22-year-old light heavyweight Marcus Browne (6-0, 6 KO) will also fight on the card. The 2012 U.S. Olympian faces Lamont Williams (5-1-1, 2 KO).
