Kell Brook Staying Busy

via www.sabotagetimes.com

Ring Magazine #3 Ranked Welterweight Kell Brook will return to the ring on March 15th, his promoter Matchroom Boxing announced tonight. Kell Brook who was scheduled to fight twice last year for the IBF Welterweight Championship against Devon Alexander, had to cancel due to injury but has since won two fights, including against hard-hiting Viacheslav Senchenko last fall.

The IBF had ordered Kell Brook fight the winner of the Devon Alexander-Shawn Porter fight. While no opponent has been announced, Kell Brook has elected to stay busy until he gets his mandatory shot at the IBF title as there may be a rematch between Alexander and Porter.

It would've been great to see Brook showcased on the undercard of the yet-to-be announced Mayweather-Khan fight on May 3rd. Having a second British boxer highlighted would've made for an exciting British Invasion theme, especially if Brook were fighting for the title against the new, young, champion Chris Porter. Brook also has had a war of words with fellow countryman Amir Khan.
