Carl Froch and George Groves have finally agreed to a rematch of their massive super middleweight clash in November last year, with the venue to be announced shortly but the date confirmed as May 31.
Froch won the first bout after referee Howard Foster controversially jumped in and stopped the contest with Groves still on his feet, having not been down in the fight. Groves was leading on all of the judges scorecards.
In terms of the stats not much has changed since the first contest - The Stats - Carl Froch Vs George Groves I - but now it is clear that the most prevalent data are the opponents ages, experience and power.
Groves seemed to have the superior reactions in the first fight and being six months older come the rematch might not be a positive for Froch.
Going into this fight Froch has a substantial experience advantage - this will be the Cobra's 12th world title fight in a row, it is only Groves' second in his career.
Finally, Froch has upped his aggression in recent years and this has reaped three ko wins from his last four contests, with only Mikkel Kessler lasting the entirety but being defeated on points. Although most people believe the first fight was stopped prematurely many still believe Froch would have finished the job.
