Originally, I thought I'd wait 30 days and post an April rankings, but that would have me posting April rankings on April 28.
Ideally, I'd be posting May rankings on Monday, May 5th.
So I decided to cut the difference between March 28th for March Rankings, and May 5th for May rankings, and put out my April rankings in the middle of April.
March rankings here: http://www.badlefthook.com/2014/3/28/5557556/the-cheetahpants-march-2014-boxing-rankings
Rule #1: The titlists are separate.
Rule #2: I made these rankings with Boxrec + my experience having viewed the fights or surveyed public opinion on the internet.
Rule #3: You win you're in, you lose you're out - unless your win or loss is a bullshit boxing robbery.
Decided to introduce "in the dugout" to imply that they're waiting on a win to become ranked in the top #10.
Also wanted to point out my note of Naoya Inoue becoming WBC Light Flyweight champion in his sixth fight, since a lot of people might not read about the lower weight divisions. This is REALLY IMPRESSIVE to me.

#7. Thomas Williams
#8. Dmitry Sukhotsky
#9. Robert Berridge
#10. Nadjib Mohammedi
CHANGES:
Enzo Maccarinelli lost to Juergen Braehmer which pushes Enzo out, and bumps Braehmer up. Agnew also got completely dominated by Kovalev, so he drops out. This makes room for both Robert Berridge and Nadjib Mohammedi.
WAITING IN THE DUGOUT:
Chad Dawson,Tavoris Cloud, Thomas Oosthuizen, Edwin Rodriguez.
WBA: Andre Ward
IBF: Carl Froch
WBO: Arthur Abraham

#4. Fedor Chudinov
#5. Brandon Gonzales
#6. Gilberto Ramirez
#7. Maxim Vlasov
#8. Christopher Rebrasse
#9. Marco Antonio Periban
#10. J'Leon Love
CHANGES:
I realized something as I stared at Jose Uzcategui's name. "What are you doing here?! You're a middleweight!" So I dropped him down to middleweight. Seriously, this guy is a middleweight. I have no idea why Boxrec has him at Super Middleweight. Him dropping out makes room for Gilberto Ramirez who won "big" on ESPN FNF this last week.
WAITING IN THE DUGOUT:
Robert Stieglitz, Mikkel Kessler, Anthony Dirrell, Ezequiel Maderna, Lucian Bute.
WBC: Sergio Martinez
WBA: Gennady Golovkin
IBF: Felix Sturm
WBO: Peter Quillin

#4. Marco Antonio Rubio
#5. Jose Uzcategui
#6. Matthew Macklin
#7. Hassan N'Dam
#8. Jarrod Fletcher
#9. Matt Korobov
#10. Jorge Heiland
CHANGES:
I guess Boxrec recalculated some stuff over the last few weeks, because on inserting Jose Uzcategui correctly at middleweight, you'd think this would force Jorge Heiland out. But nope. Looks like Lukas Konecny drops out. Also, although Curtis Stevens stopped Tureano Johnson, it didn't impact his Boxrec score at all, so I guess he doesn't get any boost from that win.
WAITING IN THE DUGOUT:
Miguel Cotto, Willie Nelson, Brian Vera.

WBA/WBC: Floyd Mayweather
IBF: Carlos Molina
WBO: Demetrius Andrade
#1. Canelo Alvarez

#4. Jermell Charlo
#5. Vanes Martirosyan
#6. James Kirkland
#7. Joshua Clottey
#8. Brian Rose
#9. Zaurbek Baysangurov
#10. Sergey Rabchenko
CHANGES:
YES. Anthony Mundine lost, so I don't have to come up for some bullshit convoluted explanation for why he is #3 in the world. Oh thank you god~ So that puts Joshua Clottey in the top#10. Also, former WBO titlist Zaurbek Baysangurov won a fight over the weekend, so he is re-ranked. These two additions would actually bump out Sergey Rabchenko... but I decided to bump out Willie Nelson instead. Nelson hasn't fought in 10 months, with nothing scheduled. And when he did have a fight scheduled back in December before he injured his arm, he was moving to 160lbs.
WAITING IN THE DUGOUT:
Austin Trout, Ishe Smith.
WBC: Floyd Mayweather
WBO: Manny Pacquiao
WBA: Marcos Maidana

#4. Leonard Bundu
#5. Chris van Heerden
#6. Carlos Abregu
#7. Randall Bailey
#8. Frankie Gavin
#9. Ray Robinson
#10. Luis Collazo
CHANGES:
Obviously, Pacquiao beat Bradley to reclaim his WBO title over the weekend. Him moving out of the #1 spot makes room for Luis Collazo at #10.
WAITING IN THE DUGOUT:
Juan Manuel Marquez, Timothy Bradley, Robert Guerrero, Devon Alexander, Adrien Broner, Brandon Rios, Jesus Soto Karass, Mike Alvarado, Amir Khan.
WBA/WBC: Danny Garcia
WBO: Ruslan Provodnikov
IBF: Lamont Peterson
#1. Jessie Vargas
#2. Viktor Postol
#3. Antonio DeMarco
#4. Humberto Soto
#5. Mauricio Herrera
#6. Selcuk Aydin
#7. Cesar Cuenca
#8. Thomas Dulorme
#9. Fernando Angulo
#10. Edner Cherry
CHANGES:
Vargas beat Allakhverdiev. A lot of people had Khabib winning, apparently, but I had Jessie outworking him. This doesn't really move him in the rankings, but does make his #1 spot seem less like bullshit. Really it's the #2 spot under Matthyse, so. I also decided to move Amir Khan out of the 140lb rankings since.. he's not really going to fight here again probably. Just moved him into the dugout at 147lbs. These changes make room for Thomas Dulorme after his "big" win over Karim Mayfeld, and also Edner Cherry at the bottom.
WAITING IN THE DUGOUT:
Lucas Matthyse.
IBF: Miguel Vazquez
WBO: Terence Crawford
WBA: Richar Abril

#5. Rustam Nugaev
#6. Miguel Roman
#7. Paulus Moses
#8. Ammeth Diaz
#9. Xolisani Ndongeni
#10. Edis Tatli
CHANGES:
Even though Ray Beltran beat Arash Usmanee over the weekend, it doesn't really change his positioning any. He's already the #1 contender, so.
WAITING IN THE DUGOUT:
Ricky Burns, Denis Shafikov.

#5. Rances Barthelemy
#6. Stephen Smith
#7. Fernando Montiel
#8. Jerry Belmontes
#9. Juan Antonio Rodriguez
#10. Jomthong Chuwatana
CHANGES:
I was kind of breaking my own rules. Orlando Salido hasn't beaten anyone at 130lbs... he just weighed in over, and beat someone at 126lbs. So I decided to put him in the dugout, since it is assumed his next career move will be to fight at 130lbs. Bryan Vasquez big win over the weekend has him moving up to fill the #2 spot under Juanma. Also, apparently Satoshi Hosono moved down to Featherweight again. So his exit makes room for Juan Antonio Rodriguez.
WAITING IN THE DUGOUT:
Orlando Salido, Daiki Kaneko, Dante Jardon.
