Veteran Paulie Malignaggi was just no match for Shawn Porter tonight on Showtime, as the 26-year-old IBF welterweight titleholder demolished the 33-year-old Malignaggi, beating on him in rounds two and three before stopping him in the fourth frame, with an official time of 1:14.
Porter (25-0-1, 14 KO) may have still had a few skeptics who worried he might have been a one-trick pony after his December win against Devon Alexander, but he surely silenced most of those people with tonight's performance. Like Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto in years past, Porter used his physical strength to overwhelm and batter Malignaggi (33-6, 7 KO), but unlike those guys, he broke Paulie down early, and stopped the fight before Malignaggi could even hope to get started.

How impressive did you think Porter was tonight? Is he ready for the true elite of the division at this point?
