The cheetahpants May 2014 Boxing Rankings

Next rankings update hopefully on Monday, June the 2nd.

March rankings here: http://www.badlefthook.com/2014/3/28/5557556/the-cheetahpants-march-2014-boxing-rankings

April rankings here: http://www.badlefthook.com/2014/4/14/5613686/the-cheetahpants-april-2014-boxing-rankings

Rule #1: The titlists are separate.
Rule #2: I made these rankings with Boxrec + my experience having viewed the fights or surveyed public opinion on the internet.
Rule #3: You win you're in, you lose you're out - unless your win or loss is a bullshit boxing robbery.
Rule #4: If you're inactive for 9 months with nothing scheduled, you're out.

"In the dugout" implies that they're waiting on a win to become ranked in the top #10.

Also decided to include "UPCOMING FIGHTS."

HEAVYWEIGHT:

WBA/WBO/IBF:
Wladimir Klitscko
WBC: VACANT [winner of Stiverne vs Arreola II]

#1. Kubrat Pulev
#2. Tyson Fury
#3. Vyacheslav Glazkov
#4. Dereck Chisora
#5. Deontay Wilder
#6. Tony Thompson
#7. Bryant Jennings
#8. Steve Cunningham
#9. Carlos Takam
#10. Lucas Browne

CHANGES:
BoxRec recalculated something so Bryant Jennings and Steve Cunningham flip-flop rankings. Not a big change. It'll be determined this month whether Jennings really deserves that spot when he faces Mike Perez.
Lucas Browne had a win which pushes him up and Andy Ruiz back out. But Andy Ruiz might move up and push him out, as Ruiz fights later this month. I imagine these two will keep doing this.
Johnathon Banks drops out of the dugout due to 10 months inactivity with nothing scheduled. He seems comfortable being Wlad's coach.

WAITING IN THE DUGOUT:
Andy Ruiz, Christian Hammer, Erkan Teper, Mike Perez, Alexander Povetkin, Tomasz Adamek, Odlanier Solis.

UPCOMING FIGHTS:
May 10: Stiverne vs Arreola II

#3. Keith Thurman
#4. Amir Khan
#5. Leonard Bundu
#6. Carlos Abregu
#7. Chris van Heerden
#8. Randall Bailey
#9. Ray Robinson
#10. Frankie Gavin

CHANGES:
Mayweather unified his title over the weekend.
Marcos Maidana, on my scorecard, got a draw against the best fighter in the world. This is enough for me to not drop him in the dugout. So he "debuts" at #1.
Paulie got destroyed by Porter and falls into the dugout.
Khan debuts at #4. Collazo obviously drops out.
Abregu and van Heerden flip-flop for no reason, guess BoxRec recalculated something. So do Robinson and Gavin.

CHANGES:
Belmontes not only beat Figueroa, but beat him convincingly in my eyes. So he advances several spots. Only 4 of his 21 fights have been at lightweight, so I'm going to rank him here at 130lbs.
Fernando Montiel shouldn't be ranked at 130lbs. I think he just took an "off weight" fight and then will move back down to 122lbs. Me moving Montiel out makes room for Emmanuel Tagoe at #9.
Also put Juan Carlos Burgos in the dugout.

WAITING IN THE DUGOUT:
Orlando Salido, Daiki Kaneko, Dante Jardon, Juan Carlos Burgos.

UPCOMING FIGHTS:
May 21: Smith vs Saucedo
