Learning the game

Hey guys. So I've mentioned in a couple of posts that I'm getting back into the sport. I was a casual fan in the mid to late 80's and very early 90's. I'm one of those guys who likes to dive head first and learn as much as possible as fast as possible. So other than hanging out here (where I've learned quite a bit already) – what can a noob do to quench the thirst for boxing knowledge?

I've been checking out YouTube a bit and I might also want to get a subscription to a magazine. I used to read The Ring back in the late 80's and I think there was a mag called K.O.? Or are there any other mag that would be better?

I've already inquired as to which premium service (HBO/Showtime) would be better for me at this time but obviously I have a few more questions. Like - Is there a new weight class? If so, what is it?

- Why are there FOUR sanctioning bodies? I mean - what does this accomplish? And how do they work. I know that might be pretty in depth so feel free to just point me in the direction that I can find it.

- Do any major (or semi major) bouts make it to the Tampa Bay area?

Anything else I should know? I'm sure I will have quite a few more questions.

Thanks in advance!
