Terence Crawford and Yuriorkis Gamboa are all set to contest Crawford's WBO lightweight championship tomorrow night on HBO Boxing After Dark, as the two fighters made weight today in Crawford's hometown of Omaha, Nebraska.
Both came in a shade under the lightweight limit of 135 pounds, as Crawford (23-0, 16 KO) weighed in at 134.8 pounds, with Gamboa (23-0, 16 KO) at 134.4 pounds. Crawford was once again notably taller than Gamboa, as Gamboa has not grown any since their press conference earlier this week.
For the co-feature, unbeaten middleweights Matt Korobov (23-0, 14 KO) and Jose Uzcategui (22-0, 18 KO) are both good to go, with Korobov hitting the middleweight limit at 160 pounds, and Uzcategui barely over at 160.2. With this not being a world title fight, it doesn't really matter that he's 0.2 over.
Crawford, 26, will be looking to further establish himself as potentially the best lightweight in the world tomorrow night, in what should be his biggest fight to date. He'll also have U.S. TV exposure for this one, which he did not have for his win in March over Ricky Burns, his biggest win so far as a pro.
