Unbeaten Golden Boy Promotions prospects Ronny Rios and Antonio Orozco will be back in action on October 9, with FOX Sports 1 televising another Golden Boy Live! card from the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California.
Rios (23-0, 10 KO) will face Robinson Castellanos (19-10, 12 KO) in the 10-round super featherweight main event. Though Castellanos, 32, is coming off of a loss, and doesn't have the prettiest record, he's been a dangerous fighter in recent years. He was stopped in nine by Rene Alvarado last time out in February, but before that had won 11 straight, including a victory over Celestino Caballero.
"It's always an exciting night when we can put on an event at Fantasy Springs and this will be no exception," said Oscar De La Hoya. "Ronny Rios and Antonio Orozco are two of this area's most talented fighters and we'll see if they're ready for the next level on October 9. I'm also looking forward to seeing the new De La Hoya era take charge with my cousin Diego in the ring again and meeting everyone on fight night and talking about this great sport and what we can do to make it even better."
Junior welterweight prospect Orozco (20-0, 15 KO) will meet faded veteran Steve Forbes (35-13, 11 KO), a former super featherweight titlist who is now 37 and has lost five in a row, and 13 of his last 16 fights. The 26-year-old Orozco is coming off of a shutout decision win over Martin Honorio in May.
Also featured on the card will be Diego De La Hoya (6-0, 5 KO), whose opponent is TBD.
