Poonsawat Kratingdaenggym came to Ireland to take Bernard Dunne's WBA junior featherweight title, and take it he did. After a good opening round for Dunne, Poonsawat got back into the fight with a strong, busy second round, and then scored three knockdowns in the third round, smashing his way to a technical knockout victory and taking Dunne's belt.

Poonsawat (39-1, 28 KO) was giving up a lot of size, clearly shorter and smaller than Dunne. But his aggressiveness and Dunne's inability to keep him at bay had him closing the gap, and in the end, he was able to land very hard, clean shots inside on Dunne, who just couldn't handle it. He's never had the best chin, and Poonsawat got to it and broke him up.

But Dunne (28-2, 15 KO) fought his heart out as always. He was winging shots until the final knockdown, and you'd be hard-pressed to find a more genuine, heartfelt fighter than Dunne. After the bout, he essentially said that Ireland was having a tough time, and he just wanted to bring the country some joy. He was given several big ovations after the bout, and he's earned them. Hopefully he'll bounce back, because he's always a lot of fun to watch.

It was a good action fight, as expected. Both guys came to fight, and that was to the detriment of Dunne. He fought smart and jabbed very well in the first round, but once Poonsawat got inside, it was all over.

On the undercard, Tyson Fury fought again, just 15 days after his controversial win over John McDermott, taking on a tomato can. He looked a bit tired and certainly wasn't at his best, but won a six-round shutout to improve to 9-0 (7).
