VIDEO: Roy Jones Jr Lip-Sync Raps in Russia
Earlier today, Denis Lebedev beat Shawn Cox with a second round knockout in Russia, and part of the card was built around an appearance from past Lebedev pushover Roy Jones Jr, who wasn't fighting today but instead was..."performing," we'll say. (Seriously, the fight's promotion was mostly about Jones and Lebedev's trainer Kostya Tszyu.)
Here you see 43-year-old Jones, once the pound-for-pound king of boxing, the best fighter of the 1990s, a Hall of Famer to be whenever he mercifully hangs up his gloves (which as we see now double as concert costume), lip syncing his way through a few crusty rap tunes about fights he had 15-20 years ago. What once was the most jaw-dropping, must-see fighter in the sport is now an intermission performer for mediocre Russian cards.
Gallaghers Gym: A Short Film by Matt Knight (Video)
Here's a 12-minute short film from director Matt Knight on the gym and fighters of top British trainer Joe Gallagher. It won't take a lot of your time and it's a nice look inside the gym of the man who has emerged with arguably the best stable of fighters in British boxing.

Super Bowl Commercial: Hyundai Goes to the 'Rocky' Well (Video)
As best I could tell, only one Super Bowl XLVI commercial had a boxing relation, but it was one of the early ads in the game. Hyundai went to the Rocky well with theme song "Gonna Fly Now" by Bill Conti:
One of my favorite commercials of the night, honestly.
Joe Frazier: When the Smoke Clears - Full Movie (Video)
Joe Frazier: When the Smoke Clears is available via Hulu in full, and you can watch it right here at Bad Left Hook, too. The documentary was directed by Mike Todd. Here's the full, 71-minute film.
They say Philadelphia is the capital of boxing and Joe Fraziers gym is the Whitehouse. For over forty years, since the last of his million dollar bouts with Ali, Foreman and others, Joes commitment to his adopted Philadelphia neighborhood kept his landmark gym alive. Now, tragically, it has to close. Filmed in the years leading up to his untimely passing and told through the voice of son Marvis, this film reveals the story of the real Joe Frazier: from his roots in the Gullah community of rural South Carolina to becoming one of the most famous athletes of the 20th century.
With comments from Bernard Hopkins, Larry Holmes, George Foreman, Larry Merchant, Thomas Hauser, Marvis Frazier and many more.

Viloria vs Segura: Video Promo From Integrated Sports PPV
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME DUBSTEP??? TURN YOUR SPEAKERS UP REALLY LOUD AND CLICK PLAY.
WHILE I REALLY LIKE THIS FIGHT, THIS PROMO VIDEO ABOUT BLEW MY MIND BECAUSE MY SPEAKERS WERE UP TOO LOUD LISTENING TO A LOW-VOLUME VIDEO BEFORE, AND I JUST WASN'T PREPARED FOR THIS.
OK, but seriously.
Viloria vs Segura will be available on Dish Network for $29.95 and apparently there was going to be an internet option, but I haven't heard anything about that yet.
Also if you missed our full TV schedule for this week, since it went up late Tuesday, click here for that.
Who do you like here? Segura is the biggest puncher from 112 on down, and pound-for-pound one of the hardest punchers in the sport, and I think he deserves to be the favorite here given Viloria's past inconsistencies and overall weirdness. But Viloria, when he's on, can really fight.
And either way, I expect this to be a good one.
Roy Jones Jr Promising "The Best Comeback in the History of Boxing" (Video)
Here's a video of Roy Jones Jr hyping his December 10 UStream pay-per-view fight with Max Alexander in Atlanta.
"For all those who think I'm washed up, that's cool, I'm glad you think that. Check me out on UStream, you can watch the pay-per-view, you ain't got to come if you think I'm washed up. Just stay home. But check me out. I got a whole new ballgame in store. The best comeback in the history of boxing begins December 10th. Trust me."
I wonder if Roy would have made more money to work the Khan vs Peterson fight for HBO? I'm pretty upset that I won't get to hear him say "Amir Kunn" that night.
Look, in all seriousness, it's good that no one will be forced to attend this fight if they think that the obviously washed up Roy Jones is washed up, because I don't think the building could hold all those people.
OK, but seriously, in all seriousness...I really have nothing more to add. This man used to be a marvel, the pound-for-pound best fighter on the planet. Now this is what he does, and no one can really figure out why. If you've got the guts, you can suffer through the "press conference" at UStream, if you'd like.
Herman Cain's Campaign Promises with Mike Tyson (Video)
Well, this happened. Honestly I don't think it's particularly funny, but it's got some Dr. Steve Brule feel at moments and it's just so weird to see Mike Tyson doing...political humor.
Language NSFW and do not turn this into a political debate in any way.
It's got a big vote of approval on Funny or Die's site, but eh, people who vote there think lots of things are funny. It's more just interesting to see Mike doing stuff like this at all. Five years ago, this would have seemed ridiculously stunning.
Of course that also probably means that the time for this to continue being "funny" or "surprising" is running a little thin, since there are only so many times you can go to the well. My personal belief is it's running short as is (or has already "jumped the shark" if you will, which I'd rather you didn't, and which I wish I hadn't just said), but, well, people like this crap.
Fury vs Pajkic: Final Press Conference (Video)
Here's video from the final presser earlier today for the Saturday fight between British and Commonwealth heavyweight champ Tyson Fury and Neven Pajkic. Fury's Commonwealth title will be on the line.
Part 2 after the jump.
