CompuBox Stats: Maidana's Win Over Morales
CompuBox PunchStat Report
Marcos Maidana W 12 (maj) Erik Morales
04/09/2011 Las Vegas
Morales, fighting the entire fight with a swollen-shut eye, landed the higher pct. of punches, but was outworked and outlanded by Maidana, who threw nearly 1,000 punches. Morales rallied in rounds eight (landing 61% of his power punches), nine (landing 67% of his power shots) and round ten (landing 42% of his power shots). Maidana had a 39-15 edge in punches landed in rounds eleven and twelve.
CompuBox PunchStat Report: Shane Mosley v. Sergio Mora
CompuBox Analysis: Really judge Kermit Bayless? 115-113 Mora- really? The jab was non-existent in this fight, so let's focus on power punches (non-jabs). Mosley outlanded Mora nearly 2-1 in power punches, 124-66, landing 37% to Mora's 23%. Mosley landed more power punches than Mora in ALL 12 rounds. Mosley probably walked into more right hands than he needed to (one at a time however) in an effort to make it a fight. All the more reason to score the fight for Shane.

CompuBox PunchStat Report: Saul Alvarez v. Carlos Baldomir
CompuBox Analysis: Target practice for the 20-year-old rising star "Canelo," who landed 80% of his power shots in round six (24 of 30), dropping Baldomir face first on the canvas. Alvarez landed 41 of 61 power shots (67%) over last three rounds. Baldomir landed 15% of his total punches.
