Plaintiffs Bad Left Hook and boxing fans around the world hereby apply for a temporary restraining order restraining B.J. Flores, Robert Flores, and pretty much anyone else named Flores, defendants, and their respective agents and employees from setting foot within 500 feet of any boxing ring, announcer's microphone, or other instrument for trying to bring the joy and excitement of boxing to the world and an order requiring defendant to show cause why a preliminary injunction should not issue to restrain defendants and their agents and employees from going anywhere near a boxing ring or microphone while this action is pending. This application is based on the grounds that Robert Flores knows jack squat about boxing and conveys excitement as if he's calling an intramural badminton match, that B.J. Flores completely stinks up the ring every time he tries to box, and that they both have about as much personality as a rotten tomato.  These asshats do not deserve to be able to make a living perpetrating the crimes on our eyes and ears that they they have been committing for far too long.  Since, on or about the beginning of time, Messrs. Flores have done an extreme disservice to the sport of boxing by going anywhere near it, and plaintiffs respectfully request that these incompetent blowhards not be allowed to sully our sport any longer.  Irreparable injury would result to plaintiffs before the matter can be heard on notice, as shown by the declaration of Badlefthook.com attached to this application.

This application is based on the declarations of Brickhaus and SC, and the memorandum of points and authorities filed concurrently.

As much as I wanted to like this fight (and probably many others did, too), "Berto UD" was a fairly easy call. Almost all of us got it and I don't think anyone picked Berto by any other method.

30 of us picked this fight. Five got the winner right. Nobody got the method, though; everyone expected a knockout, most for Angulo, and the Cintron picks were all by stoppage. The only users to go 2-0 for the Berto/Cintron double-header were bazzlad, Chaos100 and strike4a.

These are updated from March Badness and the Klitschko-Gomez fight. We took last week off and I was sick, so I've been catching up on other stuff. Now that I have downtime, here are the updated standings:

Overall, a nice rebound couple of events after the disastrous card from Manchester the week before.

Two newbies (Calabacita and Ice) schooled most of us by calling this one, but it's rare that we get five overall correctly picking an actual stoppage for a "KO" pick. Way to go, peeps.

The main fight of last weekend's picks bonanza was not the Afolabi-Maccarinelli bout pictured above, but the result was the most fitting representation for most of us picking. We took some massive shots to our picks records. Many of us went 1-3, including yours truly.

jrok takes over the lead. Nobody picked a single fight in "KO" fashion this week (meaning getting their call exactly right), but JasonTryp went a remarkable 4-0 to rise among the overall leaders.

And now, your updated BLH prediction standings. I'm bumping "non-active" pickers to a second standings table in the extended portion of the post that can be seen on the clickthrough. "Non-active" just means you didn't pick in the most recent picks thread and totally for my own ease in keeping things updated.

Correct Kirkland "KO" Picks: Chaos100 and Matt Miller both got JK in six. Those were the only KOs. No one took a NC for Guerrero-Yordan or Ortiz in two.

I Always Wanted to Be a Tenenbaum: The Royal Tenenbaums is one of my favorite movies. There's a part where Pagoda stabs Royal, which has happened in the past, and Royal responds with, "That's the last time you stick a knife in me, you hear?!" Myself, sonofapsycho, Brickhaus, keyz and thebitb are a bunch of Royals, and Joel Julio is Pagoda.

Still Unbeaten After All These Weeks: Matt and jrok are still without a "loss," as both are now 10-0-3. Matt picking up the Kirkland KO put him into what would technically be "first place," I guess. Both have been on board all four weeks and picked every fight.

Thanks, Ghost: Robert Guerrero convincing the referee and doctor that he simply could not continue put another D on most of our records. Some didn't pick the fight at all because no one knew anything about Daud Yordan really. No one picked Yordan, though. Guerrero was the overwhelming favorite, and if I recall correctly all picks were by stoppage.

Your updated Bad Left Hook Fight Night Prediction Standings. Thanks for playing, and never fear, we'll have three fights to pick this weekend with Boxing After Dark.

"Wins": All you have to do is get the winner right.

"Losses": You got the winner wrong.

"Knockouts": Knockouts are granted when you get a fight exactly right, like if you had picked Adamek by TKO/KO-8 or a draw for John-Juarez.

"Draws": Draws come when fights are declared draws, period, unless you picked a draw. Then you'd get a knockout.

Messed With Baby Bull, Got Baby Horns: Only a few of you were brave enough to pick Juan Diaz for the upset win, which by the way was another one of Dan Rafael's "just got a feeling" calls in his chat this week. Another: Jones over Calzaghe. Those who were burned by the Diaz pick were battle axe of doom, sdsuaztec4, and BLee2525. The latter two competitors put their picks in last minute.

Dionisio, You Cad: Brickhaus, Pops Daniels and lcollins1 took a notch in the L column this week by taking Dionisio Miranda to beat Giovanni Lorenzo. Took less than six minutes for that L.

One Guy Picked Johnathon Banks: It was Upstait.

The Damned Draw: Most of us feel Chris John won a good, competitive fight against Rocky Juarez, but put another in that D column anyway. Of the 25 people that picked a winner in the John-Juarez bout, 19 of us (76%) picked Chris John to win. This was far less a debacle than the gruesome Martinez-Cintron scoring, but draws stink no matter how you slice it.

The Original 9: Myself, Matt, jrok, Zocalo, TXroyal, BabyBull1289, Zocalo, lcollins1 and JasonTryp have been in this baby all three weeks. Matt and jrok remain unbeaten at 8-0-2 with one KO pick each. JasonTryp didn't pick winners in the Friday night card, so he's two fights back now, but still hasn't gotten one wrong. Zocalo and BabyBull are both just one L down, and the other three of us have made a couple bum picks. Two of us picked Matt Vanda over John Duddy (me and TXroyal). That one was so bad I thought I'd bring it up again.
