Lem Satterfield of FanHouse was on the scene in New York for a minor fracas at the Khan-Malignaggi weigh-in. Freddie Roach called it nothing out of the ordinary, Malignaggi said he was shoved by Khan and then tried to kick him, and Malignaggi's manager says they were "bum-rushed" by Khan's people.

Amir Khan is currently having some visa issues and is also reportedly involved in some sort of moronic "sex scandal" because he sent some explicit text messages to a model of some sort, but May 15 opponent Paulie Malignaggi has some encouraging words for him on that one on his official Twitter:
"I heard about your sex scandal, don't trip. We have all been guilty of sending dirty text messages, bro. When you're at the top, everyone wants you to crumble. Keep it moving!"
I get why people find him irritating, but Paulie Malignaggi really amuses the hell out of me.

I don't think Golden Boy Promotions is in the business of building up fighters. Bob Arum is good at that but I don’t think [Golden Boy] are capable of that."
