As a follow-up to the earlier article about Antonio Margarito's New York licensing status for his December 3 rematch with Miguel Cotto, the state just handed down the determination that Margarito has been granted his license. The fight will go on as scheduled at Madison Square Garden.

This is what Manny Pacquiao did to Antonio Margarito last night at Cowboys Stadium. Keep in mind that Pacquiao was giving up about five inches of height, six inches of reach, and on the HBO scales, nearly 20 pounds. Of course, Margarito's argument all along has been that he didn't know about the illegal wraps, not that the wraps weren't illegal. This just goes to show a little better the scope of the illegality, since it was hard to see much from the original photo of the full wrap.

At Dan Rafael's ESPN blog, people inside boxing react to the news that Antonio Margarito is likely to be licensed by the morally bankrupt Texas State Athletic Commission. It's not positive.
