He says the Nevada legislature had adopted a new rule that would not disqualify a fighter who had a previous brain bleed. They'll license a fighter on a case by case basis. The Nevada commission will vote on that rule change late July and he is optimistic that they will approve that change. Once they do that, Valero, as is the case with any other fighter, will apply for a license, have an MRI and Top Rank anticipates he will pass the medical scrutiny and will then get his Nevada license.

Now that Mayweather-Marquez has been pushed back, they're considering putting Casamayor-Valero on the undercard, although Valero is currently prohibited from getting a boxing license in Nevada. If it happens, it's probably the best undercard fight on a major PPV card in years.
