Featherweight titlist Elio Rojas has injured his shoulder, and it appears unlikely that he'll be able to keep his date to fight Yuriorkis Gamboa in a non-unification "unification" bout (Gamboa can't actually unify since Chris John is super titlist). Already, Celestino Caballero is saying he's ready, willing and able to step in to the fight on short notice, and we already know that's a substitute that HBO is willing to make. Another possibility is Jhonny Gonzalez, who won this past weekend and is Rojas's mandatory. If a substitute is named, it would be Gamboa's third opponent for this fight, as he was originally slated to fight fellow titlist Orlando Salido. In addition, the date had originally been reserved for a clash between Gamboa and Caballero before Bob Arum pulled a switcheroo on HBO. (Links to BoxingScene).
