[Bika-Codrington] was one of most action-packed fights of 2007, but Codrington, 24, probably will never be the same. That Gill, who has a terrible record, was competitive with Codrington until being stopped with three seconds left should tell you just how much Codrington has deteriorated. His handlers, Jeff Wald of Tournament of Contenders and Lou DiBella, don't want Codrington to fight anymore and believe he'll retire. If Codrington does, he should walk away with his head held high -- he gave fight fans compelling TV during his season on "The Contender" and one of the most memorable fights you'll ever see.

Dan Rafael's Scorecard
If Codrington really leaves the game at 24, that's a shame. But Wald and DiBella are both smart guys, and if they are that concerned about Jaidon, they're probably right. Here's hoping Jaidon finds himself and sticks around, because I like the guy, but if he doesn't, I echo Mr. Rafael's statement -- his career, while short, will have been pretty memorable.
