Antonio Tarver vs. Nagy Aguilera, on Showtime, October 15. It will be Tarver's heavyweight debut. Just waiting on a location to sign at this point. Aguilera has lost twice since upsetting Oleg Maskaev.
Vitali Klitschko vs. Tomasz Adamek, next year, at MSG. They're still in the early stages of talks for this one, but it would make sense for all sides, and HBO has expressed interest. In the interim, Adamek vs. Lance Whitaker seems likely at the end of this year.
Bernard Hopkins vs. Jean Pascal, December 18, on HBO. According to Richard Schafer, talks are progressing nicely. TV availability in both the US and Canada will determine the final date.
According to Dan Rafael, Mike Jones's likely opponent for the Pacquiao-Margarito undercard is Jesus Soto-Karass. Since decent names are involved, expect all three undercard fights to be showcase type bouts.
Adrian Diaconu will face Omar Sheika on the undercard of Lucian Bute against Jesse Brinkley. No U.S. TV date as of yet for that one, but I'd be surprised if it doesn't end up being available in the US somehow, even if only by internet PPV.

Saturday Night Results: Calderon defeats Iribe, Miranda knocks out Mepranum

Ivan Calderon defeated Jesus Iribe to retain his light flyweight championship. Julio Cesar Miranda beat Richie Mepranum for a vacant flyweight title. Marco Antonio Rubio, Marcos Reyes and Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam all won to move closer to middleweight title shots.

Oyewale Omotoso TKO9 Emmanuel Augustus. Looks like this is about the end of the line for the drunken master. This was the first time in Augustus' 75 fight career that he was actually knocked out by a punch (his other TKO losses were referee or corner stoppages). Omotoso improves to 14-0 (12 KOs), and becomes a name to watch out for in the international welterweight scene.
Oliver McCall UD10 Franklin Lawrence. Lawrence had been undefeated, but hadn't been tested. Elijah McCall had been scheduled to fight, but did not.
Andy Lee TKO8 Andy Shuler. Reports say Lee just doesn't look the same as he did before losing to Brian Vera. On the same card, Antwun Echols lost to Angel Hernandez, and Owen Beck beat Jermell Barnes
Joey Hernandez D10 Ed Paredes. Hernandez had been touted as a prospect, but most reports had Paredes winning and Hernandez getting the gift draw. On the undercard, Yoelvis Gamboa, Yuriorkis Gamboa's little brother, won his pro debut. No word on whether their other brothers, YoMadonna and YoMichaelJackson will be making their debuts.
Lance Whitaker continues his comeback trail, knocking out Matthew Ellis in one. No great shakes there - Ellis was knocked out in 1 by Tyson Fury and in 2 by Enzo Maccaranelli.
