Since it's in danger of falling off of our front page, I wanted to point everyone again to the recent article here on Bad Left Hook by Leandro Solis looking at Manny Pacquiao from a unique analytical standpoint. The comments are still open and Mr. Solis is on the site to answer questions you might have about the article.
A new statue of Manny Pacquiao has been unveiled in a Philippine mall. Evidently, this was created by the same guy who made the Ichiro bobblehead.
"I wanted Margarito to win. I mean my heart was with him and I thought he had a pretty good chance, but after Pacquiao cut him - I knew it was over. Manny is a gentleman, because he had Tony hurt in the 10th round and he could have finished him, but he let Tony survive. He showed his class and that is why he is the best. I am not ashamed to be on his list of victims because he is great." --Marco Antonio Barrera (BoxingScene.com)
This is what Manny Pacquiao did to Antonio Margarito last night at Cowboys Stadium. Keep in mind that Pacquiao was giving up about five inches of height, six inches of reach, and on the HBO scales, nearly 20 pounds. What Pacquiao did to the much bigger man last night was astounding, and also note that Margarito was game and did land some good shots. Manny Pacquiao is a force of nature. "I don't want to discuss anything about [the meeting with Jerry Jones] until after the Margarito thing in California. And then we'll announce the venue and the press conference schedule. I don't want to disrespect anybody or anything. California is going to decide on Wednesday and then whichever way California decides, various state commissions will decide whichever way they think is best." --Bob Arum (Robert Morales, BoxingScene.com) (Photo by Jed Jacobsohn/Getty Images)
