WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin still intends to fight five times in 2013. After facing Matthew Mackln on June 22, he plans to comeback in November on HBO then December in Monaco.

Promoters are working to put together a potentially explosive middleweight fight between Gennady Golovkin and Matthew Macklin, which would air June 29 on HBO.

Bob Arum has listed three potential foes for Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. comeback fight. He named Brian Vera, Matthew Macklin, and Darren Barker as candidates to face the Mexican superstar. The bout will take place June 22 on HBO.

Andy Lee and Matthew Macklin have each stated they want to face each other. However, Macklin claims Lee is all talk. Both are promoted by Lou Dibella so a fight between the two middleweight contenders would be easy business.
