Interview with Sergio Mora

The Boxing Bulletin's Jeff Pryor had a chance to talk to Sergio Mora about his PPV showdown against Shane Mosley. Click here to listen to what the junior-middleweight had to say about Saturday night's match-up.

Shane Mosley: Missed opportunities and second chances

Shane Mosley hopes to rebound after "the loss".

Mosley-Mora to be featured in theaters

As has been the case with most of Golden Boy's recent pay per view events, Fathom Events today announced that it will feature the fight between Shane Mosley and Sergio Mora live in over 300 movie theaters. This might be a more palatable option for those who don't feel like shelling out $50 for a substandard pay-per-view card.

Mosley to face Mora in September

Shane Mosley has signed his next fight, which will be against former titlist Sergio Mora at 154 pounds. The fight will be on September 18, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, and will be aired on pay per view. Also to be featured on the undercard are Victor Ortiz, likely against Vivian Harris, and Saul Alvarez.

Floyd Mayweather: It's the same old song and dance

Ever since he moved up to welterweight, Mayweather has made it his job to avoid the top welters. It is getting, or rather, has gotten old. Maybe he should retire or move back to lightweight.

Matchups being discussed (link to ESPN Insider content)

In Dan Rafael's latest blog entry, he notes that some potentially interesting matchups are being discussed, including Juan Manuel Marquez-Juan Diaz (with a possible Marquez-Barrera rematch if that falls through) and Jermain Taylor-Lucian Bute. He also mentions that Berto-Mosley seems unlikely (not enough extra $$ for the risk of fighting Mosley instead of Collazo, plus he'd have to vacate his belt) and that Tarver actually did not have a rematch clause for the Dawson fight.
