On New Year's Eve a week ago, writing a blog, I mentioned that I hope to fight for the championship belt by the end of 2011. Today, all indications are that in the coming week I will be signing contract to fight Wladimir Klitschko.

Tomasz Adamek's Official Website (in Polish).
Other sources are reporting that Klitschko's camp has confirmed this fight as well. This whole situation has become a fine mess, but at least Klitschko seems to be turning lemons into lemonade. Talks with David Haye fell through after no TV date was available in the UK until July. Klitschko then signed to fight Dereck Chisora as a warm-up, and Haye apparently refused the July fight (which was still on the table) because he felt that was too close to Klitschko's scheduled April 30 fight. Klitschko moves on to the next best thing, as Adamek is the consensus #4 heavyweight in the world and apparently the only top heavy yet to face a Klitschko who actually has the fortitude to do so.
Haye is now slated to fight his mandatory Ruslan Chagaev in May. Of course, that will probably never happen because Chagaev can't get licensed to fight in the UK due to his hepatitis-positive status.
