No kidding. Just when you thought you had heard it all, Jim Lampley gets arrested on suspicion of felony domestic violence. Lampley is also up on two misdemeanor counts of violating a restraining order and preventing a witness from testifying, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. Lampley was released after posting a $35,000 bail.
I'm of the innocent until proven guilty camp, but if this is for real, I'm really disappointed. As much of an oaf as he sometimes is, Lampley had has been around for some of my most memorable boxing moments, and I would hate to see this be true. Would he still announce for HBO? I hope not. Guys that beat up their girlfriends shouldn't be announcing major sporting events. Period.
