Ricky Hatton really must be an average joe, because retirement talk has come about -- and it all makes sense.
None of this, "Ah, I did it all" talk that always has a return coming. Ricky's mother, Carol Hatton, and his trainer, Billy Graham, both spoke about the matter.
Said Carol, "Two or three more fights, because, after 30, your reflexes slow down. You've got more chance of getting hurt. He doesn't need the money now."
Graham agreed. "The way Ricky fights, he'd get badly cut up and knocked out. I don't want to see that."
It also looks like Hatton is the most likely opponent for Oscar de la Hoya on May 3, as long as Mayweather doesn't completely humiliate him.
