Omar Narvaes successfully defended his WBO flyweight title today in France, defeating challenger Brashim Asloum via unanimous decision. Judges' scores were 118-109, 117-110 and 116-111.
Narvaes (24-0-2) now has a ten-fight winning streak dating back to November of 2003. The 28-year old Asloum has now lost two of his last four fights, the other loss a 2005 defeat at the hands of Lorenzo Parra.
In Liverpool, Souleymane M'baye and Andreas Kotelnik fought to a 12-round draw. Judges' scores for the fight were 117-112 Kotelnik, 115-113 M'baye and 114-114. The draw leaves M'baye still with the WBA light welterweight title.
There's still the card in New York tonight with Sultan Ibragimov facing Javier Mora in the main event, but the day's most substantial fights have all taken place.
