Campas loses second straight, Oquendo wins

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Fres Oquendo scored a sixth-round TKO win over Damian Norris last night, coming back from a November loss to Evander Holyfield to improve his career record to 27-4 with 17 knockouts. Oquendo's last win was a year ago over Javier Mora. Since returning to the ring last February, Oquendo has won three of four fights.

In the main event of the card from Grove Isle, FL, Yory Boy Campas dropped a lopsided unanimous decision to Eromosele "Bad Boy" Albert. Official scores were 99-91, 99-91 and 97-93. Albert improves to 20-1, and the 35-year old Campas falls to 88-10. The veteran warrior -- whose career is littered with losses to Oscar de la Hoya, Oba Carr, Fernando Vargas, Daniel Santos, and Tito Trinidad, among others -- lost last September to John Duddy, and may be seeing his long career of battles come to an end.
