Corrales ruled drunk at time of death

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

The late Diego "Chico" Corrales was driving drunk at over three times the legal limit at the time of his fatal traffic accident on May 7, Las Vegas police reported yesterday. This is likely no revelation to anyone who followed Chico's life and career, as he had had drunk driving issues before. Police say he was also driving without a valid license.

The official statement said that Corrales' blood alcohol level was 0.25. The legal limit in Nevada is 0.08.

In happier news, Corrales' wife Michelle is due to give birth to a boy, their fourth child, in July. The son will be named Diego, Jr.
