Witter-Castillo possible

Junior Witter, looking to establish his star in America, has been given an offer to fight former lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo, a fight which, frankly, may not even get American TV coverage.

Witter's only career loss came to Zab Judah, and he destroyed American contender Vivian Harris in his last bout. His handlers appear to be 50-50 on a fight with Castillo, noting that it would maybe be a help in Witter making his name in the States, but that were he to easily beat Castillo -- as most of us have to believe he would -- the boxing press and diehard fans would write it off as a win over a faded opponent. Which it would be, not that I'd blame Witter.
