The story is here.
In short, IBF middleweight titleholder Arthur Abraham is on the wrong end of a sexual harassment complaint in Germany, filed by a masseuse.
Abraham, 28, denies the claims. A Sauerland Events spokesman says that the accusations are "without any substance."
The timing is poor, as Abraham is the hottest he's ever been coming off of his four-round destruction of Edison Miranda in his June American debut. He's currently tentatively scheduled to face mandatory challenger Raul Marquez in October, a fight that will take place back in Germany. A potential clash with recognized middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik has been rumored for early 2009, and it's one of the fights in boxing that I think most of us consider a genuine, no doubt about it, must-see clash.
Here's hoping the claims are bunk, mostly because I'd rather not have another boxer drawing bad press.
