Bodog sets Mayweather as early favorite over Pacquiao

In a follow-up to a story we posted yesterday that had Manny Pacquiao as the early betting favorite over Floyd Mayweather Jr. for a potential 2010 mega ultra huge super showdown fight, we can now say that not everyone agrees. The sportsbook at Bodog has Mayweather as the early betting favorite, not Pacquiao.

Floyd Mayweather Jr.  vs. Manny Pacquiao
Floyd Mayweather Jr.                  -160
Manny Pacquiao                        +130
(Quick note:  Opened at -170, and has already moved quickly to -160)

How many rounds will the Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquaio Fight Last

Over    11.5                   -175

Under  11.5                   +135

This just shows you what we already know: This is going to wind up a pick'em fight if it happens. There are strong proponents of style and skill on both sides of the fence for this one. That's one of the reasons this fight is such a must-have encounter. It's a style clash, with two guys who do what they do better than anyone else in boxing. You might heavily favor one man personally, but it's near impossible to dismiss either of them and their chance to win.

(For the record, we aren't promoting gambling in any way, just looking at what the books are saying for what would be the most important fight in boxing in about two decades.)
