Report: Manny Pacquiao Might Manage Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

Michael Marley reports an interesting development at BoxingScene.com, saying that there's a strong possibility that Manny Pacquiao and Michael Koncz could enter into a managerial contract with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., who like Pacquiao is trained by Freddie Roach and promoted by Top Rank.

According to Marley, the deal could be announced on Saturday morning, as Top Rank will have a press conference for Chavez's next fight, to be held December 4 against Alfonso Gomez. Pacquiao is not one to shy away from loads of responsibility and outside-the-ring interests, so it wouldn't exactly be a shocking development.

Pacquiao faces Antonio Margarito on Saturday night at Cowboys Stadium, and Bad Left Hook will have continuing coverage of that fight, along with our assisted coverage of the fight at SBNation.com.
