Floyd Mayweather Jr. released from jail

Scott Christ is the managing editor of Bad Left Hook and has been covering boxing for SB Nation since 2006.

As expected, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has been released from the Clark County Detention Center, according to TMZ. The 33-year-old boxer was being held on a grand larceny arrest stemming from a domestic violence case a couple of days ago. Mayweather was arrested and booked this morning for theft of the accuser's iPhone and other items, and was being held on $3,000 bail. TMZ has video of him leaving the building in a Maybach, if you're into that sort of thing.

Prosecutors have received documents for the domestic violence case against Josie Harris, the mother of Mayweather's children. She alleges that Mayweather hit her in the head, threatened their children, and also threatened her life and the life of her current boyfriend. Mayweather has made no comment, and his lawyer has been brief with all statements.
